What an incredible experience in an absolutely stunning place. Copenhagen, you have my heart. I couldn't help but wonder, was it because I was galavanting about the beautiful city with my best friend, Pooch, but let me tell you, Copenhagen, you are surreal.
If you find yourself in the capital of Denmark, let me tell you a few of my favorite things. First, shopping at the Ganni Outlet was incredible. Everything from their current and few previous collections was on display, and let me tell you, the deals were great. If I remember correctly, most items were at least 40% off, so of course I had to buy a super cool pair of orange jeans.
You absolutely have to go to Nyhavn. While I did not see it in the daylight, it was so beautiful in the evening. Madie and I created our own wine tour, which I highly reccomend. Grab a taste of your favorite wine (and I am emphasizing a taste) from each restaurant that lines the street.
Most of you will skip this, I am guessing, but when in Copenhagen, you have to cold plunge. An experience that tests your resilience, but a great moment to laugh about later with friends, it was both the most painful and the most awesome experience I have ever taken part in. Let me just tell you, bring the following:
A swimsuit you can move around in.
In my opinion - the cute little bikini won't really cut it for this. If you are like me, you are going to be running out of that plunge.
Two fresh towels
One for your hair and one for your body
Warm socks!
A sweat set or just any warm pair of a sweatshirt and sweatpants that you have
A long sleeve t-shirt for underneath
A hat
Not great for the hair, but you will want to be warm, promise.
Lastly, if you find yourself in Cope soon, you HAVE to go to the Tivoli Gardens. The festival is a beautiful production that is apart of Copenhagen's rich culture. If you have ever been to a state fair, let me tell you, this is the chic version of that. From the ferris wheel to the ice cream to each little restaurant, Tivoli is a must see.
