Sunshines, I have some exciting news that I have been meaning to share with you. Some of you may know that I was interning this summer in New York City. Some of you may also know that I have been interning for A.L.C. for about two and a half years now. Well, thanks to my incredibly supporting and inspiring team, I felt confident to pitch an idea about taking some content for the store fronts that are located in NYC to my boss.
After pitching the idea to her, she immediately set me up with the NYC based team, and I got to brainstorming. Going into my first shoot, I was nervous. So, what was the best thing to do for my nerves? Prepare. So, that is just what I did. I prepared by scrolling for hours, first by gathering content and creating moodboards, then by narrowing down my findings to focus on a few key themes to bring to life. I didn't want to overwhelm myself with high expectations of capturing everything, since it was only my first shoot, but I wanted to be able to impress my team and bring my vision to life.
Following my moodboard creation, I sent out my board for approval to my team. Once approved, I was ready to put the vision to work. I wondered, would I be able to translate my vision into something that A.L.C. would be proud of? My goal was not for every image to be perfect, that is impossible for any shoot, but instead to capture as many moments as I could. From there, I edited down the best selects and sent my images off for approval from my team. I have to say, out of all the images, the ones below are my favorite. Also, surprise, I even got to model some of the clothes, which was SO FUN!

I could not have asked for a better shoot day. The whole thing would not have been possible without the help of Sydney and Avery, who helped make this whole experience so 13 Going on 30.
